Snow, Sleep 'n' Sympathy
For the first time today I was able to sleep until 12 noon. This is definately a first since the house is usually a flurry of activity, along with even the slightest sounds reaching my not so eager ears :/ But today was different, and I think I could easily get used to sleeping in until 12 noon every saturday! Have any of you noticed yet!??! IT'S SNOWING!!!!!! I couldn't have been more thrilled to see little white flakes speadily falling down into my window well! This definately brings my Christmas excitement level up to at least an 8!
On another not, most of you have probably already heard but last Friday my Dad went to the doctor and the doctors discovered a large lump in his stomache. He went down to Mayo Clinic on Monday morning and went through numerous tests. It was determined that the lump was cancer but our family is feeling very thankful and blessed since the cancer is very treatable! The treatment will start on the 12th and even though this date seems far off my Dad is taking full advantage of the oppurtunity to get his strength up and start eating healthier! The calls since last Friday have poured through our phone lines with at least two an hour [this has slowed down within the last few days], and I have witnessed many e-mails of support from people I don't even know! I have personally been overwhelmed by all the support our family has recieved, and I hope that a huge "THANK-YOU" will suffice to thank all of you who have prayed, sent letters, called our house with encouragement, etc...! Feel free to ask if you have any questions!
Well that's it for a much needed blogspot update, and now I'm off to go make snow angles in the backyard and get a steaming mug of hot chocolate! Feel free to leave a little love in the comment box and be sure to come back soon!
